With more than a third of states finished with voting, exit polls and early returns indicate that the Republican Party will recapture control of the U.S. House of Representatives by a comfortable margin.
CNN is currently projecting a minimum of 50 pick-ups for the GOP, with the potential for even more surprises as voting concludes in the western states.
