Ron Paul Leading in Questionable Texas Primary Poll

The poll asked the question, “If the Texas Republican primary were held today, which presidential candidate would you be most likely to vote for?”

Nearly a quarter of the Republicans polled selected libertarian-leaning Congressman Ron Paul, putting him five-points ahead of Texas Governor Rick Perry who is mulling a bid.

The catch is that the poll was conducted by Azimuth Research Group, a largely unknown entity that has a very limited track record in polling.

Poll Date: 5/29-6/3, 2011

The People are waking up there’s no question about that.

    Ron Paul 2012!!!

  2. So funny. When Ron Paul wins, all of the sudden these polls are questionable. mhmm. I see you dirty little fascits. I see what you are doing.

  3. Questionable poll?

So the poll that Bill O’Reilly touts showing *54 total votes* and has Ron Paul at zero, gets national media attention is not questionable?

But a poll of 882 people taken of registered Texas voters who are active politically, and shows Ron as the clear winner, is somehow questionable?

    Its absurd.

  4. It looks like that poll was just of activists, I guess because of Texas having caucuses. So in that framework the results aren’t surprising. On the other hand, a PPP poll showing Perry ahead of Paul was only of Republicans, when Texas has open primaries and any registered voter can vote in them. Ron Paul dominates with independents. All these polls need to be taken with a grain of salt, and yet we still read them, don’t we?

Questionable Poll? Only because you don’t like the result. Face it, Ron Paul is the best man for the job and has been consistent with his conservative/libertarian freedom values for over 30 years in Congress. He was here way before the Tea Party became popular with the bandwagon of flip-floppers like Romney, etc.

  6. All polls are questionable, all polls. But to dismiss some and give credit to others just shows bias. Even Frank Luntz fox’s pollster wrote a book on how to get the results you want from a poll. Its all in the questions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViYI1BkhyRk

  7. Ron Paul is the only man for the job if he can’t bring this country back from the brink no one can! RON PAUL 2012!!!!!
