Paul Campaign Points Finger at ‘Establishment’ for Cyberattack

While presidential candidate Ron Paul was celebrating his birthday yesterday, nefarious elements of the big government establishment were conspiring against him.  At least, that’s the story according to Paul campaign manager John Tate.

The campaign was attempting to conduct one of their famous online “money bomb” fundraising drives in honor of Congressman Ron Paul’s 76th birthday.  The stated goal of $1.5 million was within sight when, the Paul campaign claims, a “cyberattack was launched on our website – shutting us down and robbing us of the last few hours of our money bomb.”

“Boy, the establishment is more desperate than I thought,” wrote Tate.  “They don’t even want our message to get out ON OUR OWN WEBSITE now!”

The Paul campaign announced, in open defiance of the “establishment” that was apparently responsible for yesterday’s sabotage, that they would continue the money bomb for another 12 hours and raise the goal to $1.75 million.

While Tate doesn’t directly come out and say that another candidate was behind the attack, he comes pretty close…

You see, with Dr. Paul’s support surging nationwide and two recent polls showing our campaign leading anointed establishment “frontrunners” Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry, I can’t say I’m surprised we’re receiving attacks like these.

The culprit?

You and I can only speculate, but we both know there are folks out there who will do literally ANYTHING to stop Dr. Paul’s message of liberty from getting out – even on our own website!

The extended money bomb is now entering into its final hour and the amount raised is only $30,000 short of the extended goal of $1.75.

The arrogant major media loses all credibility when they ignore Ron Paul and in the process they ignore the American people. Ron Paul has an army of grassroots support and we are just getting started. It’s almost laughable when you compare the ability of Ron Paul to think and analyze a problem compared to the other GOP candidates. Rick Perry or even Obama would never debate Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is being cyber attacked by Mitt Romney? LOL yeah right, keep dreaming numb nuts

  3. Ron Paul never said the establishment created the DDOS, his campaign said he needed the money to fight the establishment… because his candidacy challenges them. Doubtless it was just one of those crazy supporters of one of the other campaigns…. you know how they are….:P

  4. Ron Paul got his 1.75 Million. The donations are still coming in and the total is currently $1,760,023.37.

    Ron Paul 2012!

  5. Yesterday I tried the website so I could do good on my pledge to Dr. Ron Paul and would not let me accessed it. This went on for about an hour until I was able to access the website at about 11:35. I found very weird as I have never had any problems with this website. Now I know and I’m sure the website was been attacked.

  6. We are good. A little unprofessional on the campaigns part.

  7. Bildberg group had the “other Texas candidate” in its meeting in 2007, they are clearly tailoring him to overtake Obama (Obama attended that same meeting with Bildberg group, and year later he was president). Those guys put the presidents in the White House, not people….fact that we have a “vote” in this, is only illusion. However, I am willing to stand up and fight for what is right. And Ron Paul is the right man to free America, since JFK.

God protect Ron! God save USA!

Mr Cassidy, The “lets paint Ron Paul as a kook” routine doesn’t work this time around, too many of his predictions from the 2008 debate have come true. The truth of the matter is that there was a shutdown of the site yesterday as I myself encountered it when I tried to donate, When Ron Paul won the CPAC POLL last Spring Fox news show a bogus tape of Paul being booed, When he surged over the weekend before the NH Primary in 2008 he was disinvited to the debate. When he won the Nevada primary they shut the hall down and didn’t count the votes. Last week he encountered a press blackout after a virtual dead heat with Bachman in the Iowa straw poll and you think it strange that his campaign may be a little paranoid?

This is funny. Being from a communist country I remember that the government would tell you to make sacrifices that are necessary for the better life of your children. In the meantime this would allow them to do all types of atrocities. In America it is actually F**K next generation, let’s live now and borrow more! Dr Ron Paul, who is offering the only possible solution, is being ignored by the media. Tell me how is it better then Soviet Union. Yea, that’s right. Choose your enemies carefully. One day you will be just like them….
