Johnson to Campaign with Howe in North Carolina on Saturday

Libertarian Party presidential nominee Gary Johnson will make a campaign swing through North Carolina over the weekend, scheduling a day of events in conjunction with the LP’s gubernatorial candidate Barbara Howe.  The pair will participate in a “Liberty 5K Fun Run” in the morning, then Johnson will attend a small fundraiser at lunch.

In the evening, Johnson, Howe and Michael Munger will speak at the LPNC’s Presidential Dinner. That event is designed as a fundraiser with tickets starting at $100 per person.

Howe appears to be one of the more promising Libertarian candidates for statewide office this year, recently polling as high as 9% in the somewhat competitive 3-way race.  In the presidential race, a May poll had Johnson capturing 6% of the vote in North Carolina.

8:30 a.m. – registration, 9:00 – Start time – Gov. Johnson will join gubernatorial candidate Barbara Howe in a “Liberty 5K Fun Run” *

12:00 p.m. – Gov. Johnson will hold a lunch fundraiser

1:30 p.m. – Gov. Johnson will speak at the “Conservatives Against Unconstitutional Wars”
Rally at Midtown Park 500 S. Kings Dr Charlotte, NC. Begins at 11:00am, Gov. Johnson to speak at 1:30pm

7:00 p.m. – Gov. Johnson, Barbara Howe, and Prof. Mike Munger (our highly successful 2008 LP Gubernatorial Candidate) will be featured guests and speakers at the LPNC Presidential Dinner
