Wyllie Files Federal Lawsuit Over Debate Exclusion

wyllie1Adrian Wyllie, the Libertarian candidate for Governor of Florida, has filed a Federal lawsuit aimed at forcing his inclusion in a debate scheduled for October 15, 2014 at Broward College.  The suit that debate organizers’ criteria was set arbitrarily and in a manner to specifically exclude the LP’s candidate for governor.

A recent 0ptimus poll put Wyllie at 13% of the vote in a three-way contest with Republican incumbent Rick Scott and Democratic nominee Charlie Crist.

The campaign notes that using the 2006 criteria for inclusion, Wyllie would have earned a spot on stage without much difficulty.  To read the full lawsuit, click here.

The campaign makes their case:

“With a full-time campaign staff, commercial ads, a physical office, statewide distribution system of campaign supplies, GOTV software specifically for grassroots volunteers, and campaign contributions over $100,000, and polling near 15%, the campaign has proven to be a credible and formidable opponent in this race. With donations averaging only $75 per donor, to amass that amount in the campaign coffers shows significant grassroots support for Wyllie. Wyllie promised to utilize every avenue to fight his exclusion from this debate on many different fronts, but is not disclosing other strategies at this time.”

Floridians should be fuming over this, like him or not, he is running for office and we deserve to hear from him in the debates. LET HIM SPEAK!!
He absolutely has my vote. It is very clear that he is the best choice.
The question nobody is asking is, “what are they so afraid of that they would work so hard to make sure he isn’t in the debates”?
I would NEVER vote for Scott or Crist, period.
